Although we’re hoping a bill will be passed in this year’s Hawaii legislative session to allow testosterone prescriptions via telehealth, currently, Hawaii law requires an in-person visit before a prescriber can write a testosterone script.
What’s our plan?
Pop-Up Clinics in Hawaii!
- We usually only do telehealth and online appointments. For individuals seeking gender affirming care with testosterone in Hawaii, we’re scheduling in-person appointments during Pop-Up Clinics to satisfy Hawaii prescribing regulations.
- Our first pop-up in Hawaii is on February 27th. In-person appointments will be available then.
- Our Pop-Up clinic is hosted by HI SIS in Honolulu.
But Act Soon!
What’s the process?
- Free 15 to 20 minute introductory appointment online. Request one via the Request Appointment button at the top of this page.
- Initial medical visit: this one lasts an hour. Usually done via telehealth. At this appointment, we’ll discuss all of your care options and make a plan for your care.
- In-person 15-minute appointment in Hawaii. At this appointment, we’ll get some vitals, listen to your heart and lungs, confirm your care decisions and your consent, and, proceed with appropriate gender care for you!!!
Time is running out to book an initial medical appointment done via telehealth before the 27th.
However, we will have limited in-person slots available for initial medical visits at our Pop-Up.
