In Alaska, QueerDoc collaborates with Identity Health to bring gender affirming telemedicine to folx in Alaska. This means the process to start care looks a little different than all of the other states QueerDoc serves.
Good news: Identity accepts insurance, so if you have insurance, you can use that to help cover the cost of your care. Identity was also awarded status as a Title X provider, which means they also offer a sliding scale for folx who can’t afford their co-pay or are uninsured.
Bad news: Taking insurance makes healthcare way more complicated, so the onboarding and care process involve more steps and more paperwork.
To get established for care with QueerDoc at Identity Health, you need to complete the “Sign Up Forms” found here:
The team at Identity will then contact you to help you finish onboarding and get scheduled. If you don’t hear from them you can email them at frontdesk@identityinc.org or call (907) 865-3247. If they don’t return your message in 2 business days, feel free to reach out to us at info@queerdoc.com
