We will be transitioning our annual profit and loss publications to our newsletter. A lot of people have asked why we aren’t a non-profit over the years. Non-profit or not, healthcare is a business in the United States. Healthcare non-profits make billions and pay their C-suite millions. We don’t believe being a non-profit will make us less profit motivated or more ethical. We stay grounded in our community- queer and trans healthcare isn’t just a job for us- it is a way of life. While we don’t have an official board of directors, Dr. Beal, our founder, refers to several of their community members as their “board of directors”. Dr. Beal frequently takes questions of business ethics to several of their radically trans and queer chosen family and colleagues who are all rooted in anti-capitialism, social justice, and equity. We do believe transparency with our community will help you understand our motivations and our ethics. After this year, you can find our annual profit and loss report in our newsletter. Here is a summary of our last year for the entire business, our team of six:

Like most small business, the bulk of our income goes to pay our team. In 2022, our team included one full-time administrative staff, a part-time social media support person, and 2 part-time clinicians, plus Dr. Beal, our full-time clinician and founder. We do offer health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement contributions, and unlimited PTO to our full-time employees.
