We Love our Partner Pharmacy, Honeybee!!!

Honeybee (a mail order pharmacy,) has seriously stepped up to support bodily autonomy and provide access to gender affirming medications. Their website ordering system doesn’t include name, pronoun, and gender options, but when you work with Honeybee through QueerDoc, you don’t use that system. For QueerDoc patients, you should receive an email 1-2 business days after your clinician sent your prescription. Check your SPAM folder if you don’t see it. If you can’t find it please contact your provider in the portal to avoid delays in care.

How it works for our patients.

For current patients with QueerDoc, this is how the process works:

Money Bits

  • We collect the money and pay them for you which allows you to access better pricing.
  • You will be charged on the day of your appointment for your prescriptions. Your provider should review pricing with you. You can also look at pricing on our website here.

Getting Medications From This Pharmacy

  • You should get several emails from Honeybee to the email you use for your patient portal with QueerDoc
    • You receive an email when they:
      • Receive your prescription
      • Process your prescription
      • And ship your prescription
    • Your first email should come in 1-2 business days. Check your SPAM folder if you don’t see it. If you can’t find it please contact your provider in the portal to avoid delays in care.
  • Your medications should arrive in 1-2 weeks. Testosterone requires signature for delivery, so please be available.

Getting Refills

  • For most patients using Honeybee we send a 90 day supply, and we generally see you for an appointment before you need a refill. That way new prescriptions can account for any dosing adjustments made at the appointment.
  • If you need a refill prior to an appointment, please message your QueerDoc about 2 weeks before you need the medication.
