We use Simple Practice for our electronic medical chart and telehealth visit platform. You can use Simple Practice’s browser-based platform from your computer or on your phone, but there is also a phone app available. Simple Practice recently released a new app version with expanded capabilities.
You can do almost everything in the SimplePractice app, that you can do in the web version, including:
- Request an appointment.
- Attend your appointment!
- Complete paperwork.
- Message the QueerDoc team.
- See your invoices and pay them.
- Set PIN access.
Plus, you don’t have to wait for an email to log in!
Where Can I Get The SimplePractice App?
- Your favorite app store! Tip: get the Client Portal.
- When you first install the app, you’ll need to sign in to your Client Portal the usual way: enter your email, and you’ll get a link sent to you.
- After that, you can log in with a touch (or add a PIN for extra security.)

Request An Appointment: Choose Your Provider, then click “Next”
Choose Your Appointment Type: pick one, then click “Next”
Select a location: Video Office (that’s the only one available!)
Choose your date and time: the first available will appear.
To choose a different date, click on the calendar.
Send your request and wait for your confirmation.
Newly requested documents will be at the top of your list
Click on the document name to fill out your documents.
Upload a document at the bottom of the Documents tab (click “view all.”)
On Appointment Day, SimplePractice will start a timer for you.
When you’re ready, click in to your appointment via the “Join Appointment” button.

TIPS For Using The SimplePractice App:
- If you get stuck, you can get out and back in again from your phone’s app button.
- Check your invoice history from the “View All” link by “Billing” or click in to a new invoice. You can pay invoices from there.
Message us from the envelope in the top right corner.
- Add a payment method from the dropdown menu in the top left corner.
