Lifelong asked me to share about navigating healthcare provider visits more successfully at their upcoming event. As a queer person, a patient, and a doctor, I have some insight on moving through the healthcare system. While acknowledging our healthcare system is broken and works to oppress gender diverse people AND intersectionality worsens that oppression, I hope to share some information and resources that might improve the experience of gender diverse people. I wish I could fix the broken system and ELIMINATE discrimination, harassment, and oppression. Until then I will continue to advocate and educate one day at a time!
