Honeybee (a mail order pharmacy,) has seriously stepped up to support bodily autonomy and provide access to gender affirming medications. Their website ordering system doesn’t include name, pronoun, and gender options, but when you work with Honeybee through QueerDoc, you don’t use that system.

Honeybee doesn’t accept insurance, so you do pay out of pocket for your medications. Honeybee has offered QueerDoc special pricing. Each order has a $21 shipping and processing fee on top of the medication pricing. You can download a price list using the form here:

For current patients with QueerDoc, you will receive a summary of how the process works in your patient portal that includes the following information:
Money Bits
- We collect the money and pay them for you which allows you to access better pricing.
- You will be charged on the day of your appointment for your prescriptions. Your provider should review pricing with you. You can also look at pricing on our website here.
Getting Medications
- You should get several emails from Honeybee to the email you use for your patient portal with QueerDoc
- You receive an email when they:
- Receive your prescription
- Process your prescription
- And ship your prescription
- Your first email should come in 1-2 business days. Check your SPAM folder if you don’t see it. If you can’t find it please contact your provider in the portal.
- You receive an email when they:
- Your medications should arrive in 1-2 weeks. Testosterone requires signature for delivery, so please be available.
Getting Refills
- For most patients using Honeybee we send a 90 day supply, and we generally see you for an appointment before you need a refill. That way new prescriptions can account for any dosing adjustments made at the appointment.
- If you need a refill prior to an appointment, please message your QueerDoc about 2 weeks before you need the medication.
