Gender Affirming Surgery
QueerDoc provides referrals for gender affirming surgeries for our patients when desired. We believe that there is no one way to be trans and that surgery is not for everyone.
Gender Affirming Surgery
QueerDoc provides referrals for gender affirming surgeries for our patients when desired. We believe that there is no one way to be trans and that surgery is not for everyone.
Not all health insurance plans cover all types of gender affirming surgeries. Please check with your health insurance plan regarding coverage for procedures and specific surgeons. We know that navigating health insurance and coverage can feel overwhelming and be complicated: some insurance plans and non-profits have FREE gender care navigators available. Care navigators can help you move through the prior approval process for procedures and surgeries. One of QueerDoc’s favorite free care navigation resources is Trans Family Support Services.
QueerDoc also offers care navigation services on a sliding scale for our patients. Learn more at our care navigation page!
